Death to Spies Enhancement Addon
Version 1.0 

  Introduction:

The Death to Spies Enhancement Addon is an hybrid of unoffical patch  and improvement mod.
Target of this addon is to improve gameplay,ambience and athmosphere.

The improvements are done in 4 phases:

Phase 1. Decensoring (textures and blood)
Phase 2. Bugfixes (texts, textures, scripts.)
Phase 3. Optimization (visual, aural, textual und gameplay/scripting)
Phase 4. Simplification (gameplay)

Content:

1. Decensoring:
Original texturen with swastikas, other nazi symbols, pictures of national socialist greats and propaganda posters
Blood

2. Bugfixes:
Spelling errors, general erros and unlogical things
Errors and unlogicial phrases in briefing texts
Errors and unlogicial phrases in level texts
Wrong names and errors in equipment  and weapon names
Wrong and unlogicial texts on textures
Miscellanous errors

3. Optimization:
Ambient music
Ambient sounds
Sound effects
Textures
Skins
Level names on loading screens
Introduction texts at level start
Optimized behaviour of NPCs
Enhanced inventory of some NPCs
Cutscene subtitles
Introduction texts at cutscenes.
Corrections of ugly things
Miscellanous optimizations.
Enhanced and reformatted briefing texts
Many small improvements.

4. Simplification
Some features are now selectable more times
More help texts
More tips
More possibilities to gain weapons
Possibility to knock down some NPCs from the front
Increased some timers
Decrased some damage values of the player.
Many small changes.

Setup:

1. Download VFS unpacker
2. Unpack all VFS archives to "Death to Spies" folder.
3. Download Addon
4. Unpack addon to "Death to Spies" folder with WinRAR.
5. Download english texts
6. Unpack english texts to "Death to Spies" folder with WinRAR.
7. execute "backup.bat"

Compatibility:

The mod is full compatible with all version of DtS v. 1.1 Older versions must upgrade to this version.
You can use old savegames, everything like new textures, texts and audio will be enables but script changes not.
For full compatibility you have to start a new game.

Installation:

1.  VFS-Entpacker herunterladen.
2. Alle VFS-Archive in den Ordner von "Death to Spies" entpacken.
3. Addon herunterladen.
4. Addon in den Ordner von "Death to Spies" mit Hilfe von WinRAR entpacken.
5. "backup.bat" ausführen.

Kompatibilität:

Das Addon ist vollkompatibel mit allen Versionen von DtS v. 1.1. Ältere Versionen müssen auf diese Version upgradet werden.
Die deutsche Version ist schon auf dem Level v. 1.1!

Alte Speicherstände können weiterhin verwendet werden. Alles wie z.B. neue Texturen, Texte und Audio sind sofort verfügbar. Das einzige
Ausnahme sind Script-Änderungen. Für volle Kompatibilität muß man ein neues Spiel starten.
